Technology

TECHNO products were developed by a team of professional formulators following the latest advancements in pharmaceutical and food sciences. Our patent pending technology is based on classical liposomal and lipid nanoparticles made with natural phospholipids and oil from sunflower, proven to be safe and effective through their use in many foods, supplements and pharmaceuticals. The oil and phospholipids in Fizz and Mixers form tiny droplets suspended in water. Upon mixing, the active ingredients and  bitter molecules in your supplement become bound to the droplets, thus reducing the interaction of the bitter molecules with your taste buds, while improving absorption in your stomach and even enabling absorption in your mouth through oral mucosa.

Thanks to the liposomes, the active molecules that normally require acid or alcohol to remain soluble now can remain in solution at near neutral pH. No acid means no irritation – perfect for those who take their supplements on empty stomach.

Binding to nanoparticles is very important to our products’ taste masking properties, however, that’s not enough. Here are additional features that define our patent pending technology:

  1. Minor phospholipids in lecithin (phosphatidylserine and phosphatidic acid known to reduce stress) are also known to interact with taste buds and therefore can mask bad taste and reduce irritation even without formation of nanoparticles.
  2. We use specific plant-derived natural extracts known to mask unpleasant tastes, enhance the pleasant ones, improve mouthfeel, enhance sweetness, modulate taste, and do other wonders to foods and drinks. Due to extreme complexity, all these extracts are approved by the FDA under one category listed on product labels as “natural flavors”. Even though many of them do not have a flavor or taste of its own. These extracts are used in tiny amounts, usually about 0.1%. It took us years to develop the combination that works on complex botanical extracts notorious for being unpalatable.
  3. You may already know that vanilla and caramel can reduce some unpleasant tastes, enhance perception of sweetness and improve mouthfeel. Other such examples are strawberry and chocolate, frequently used to hide unpleasant flavor of cheap protein shakes or orange used to hide the bitter and metallic taste of amino acids. The flavors that we use in our products were specifically selected to work well with botanical supplements.
  4. Finally, we use carefully selected and matched low- and high-intensity sweeteners that aid the taste masking process, improve the mouthfeel of final concoction, and create sugar-like sweetness without being cloying and without added calories of sugar.

The result is a taste masking system that will make your supplements enjoyable and will not spike your insulin.
